Skateland put a sailboat and crashing waves on its logo like roller skating was a nautical tradition, then crammed the actual skate into the bottom corner as an afterthought. Somebody's uncle with a sign painting business charged forty bucks and called it branding.
The Details:
A cream scallop shell shape contains blue vintage serif text reading "SKATELAND" arched along the top. A hand-drawn sailboat on ocean waves with clouds and birds fills the center, with a small roller skate below. Blue script reads "At Ocean's Edge" above "YORK BEACH, MAINE" curving along the lower edge.
