La Cienega Boulevard's Restaurant Row in Los Angeles was a dining destination unlike any other through the 1950s and 1960s. The Islander stood among its finest, serving exotic Polynesian cuisine in an atmosphere that transported guests across the Pacific. Some restaurants feed you. This one carried you somewhere else entirely. Part of our Vintage Tiki collection, celebrating the defunct golden era bars of yesteryear.
