Victoria's Rosebuds bloomed briefly in the Texas League, established in 1958 as a Class AA club in South Texas. Minor league ball meant everything to towns like Victoria, where summer nights revolved around the crack of a bat. Some franchises last decades, but even short-lived clubs leave deep roots in a community's memory. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched light green block text reads "VICTORIA" above muted green text reading "ESTD" and "1958" flanking a cartoon anthropomorphic rosebud mascot in pink and green, mid-swing with a bat, with "TEXAS LEAGUE" and "CLASS AA BALL" on either side. Bold white chunky text below reads "ROSEBUDS BASEBALL CLUB." Cursive green script at the bottom reads "Victoria, Texas."
