Sardi’s at Hollywood and Vine opened in 1932 as the glamorous West Coast sibling to New York’s famed Broadway haunt, offering upscale dining, live music, and walls lined with star caricatures. A magnet for movie stars and industry insiders, it embodied the golden glow of Hollywood’s nightlife until its closure in the late 1950s.
