Red Bird Lanes on Gravois Avenue stood as one of South St. Louis' beloved neighborhood alleys through the mid-twentieth century. Gravois was the corridor that connected working-class communities, and places like this gave them a reason to stay. Some lanes just hosted bowling. Red Bird Lanes held a neighborhood together. Part of our Retro Bowling collection, featuring the defunct alleys of yesteryear.
