Tava Lanes stood at 3439 Arlington Avenue in Riverside, California, right where the freeway met the neighborhood. Opening during the postwar bowling boom of the 1950s, it became the kind of place where leagues formed friendships and Friday nights had a rhythm. Some alleys were just buildings, but Tava was a gathering place. Part of our Retro Bowling collection, featuring the defunct alleys of yesteryear.
