Beverly Hills had its own slice of Polynesia when the Luau opened on Rodeo Drive in the 1950s. Hollywood's elite gathered beneath thatched roofs and carved tikis at 421 North Rodeo, making it the gold standard of Southern California's tiki era. Some restaurants serve meals, but the Luau served an entire escape. Part of our Vintage Tiki collection, celebrating the defunct golden era bars of yesteryear.
The Details:
White bamboo-style lettering reads "THE LUAU" across a rough, bark-textured banner shape. A vintage hand-drawn tiki idol stands to the left on a small base with a leaf detail at its feet. Below, white block text reads "421 N. RODEO" and "BEVERLY HILLS."
