The Ambassador Hotel stood as Los Angeles' crown jewel of hospitality from 1921 to 2005, hosting everyone from movie stars to presidents in its Art Deco splendor. Located in the mid-Wilshire district, this legendary establishment was home to the famous Cocoanut Grove nightclub where countless Hollywood premieres and award ceremonies took place throughout the golden age of cinema. The hotel witnessed pivotal moments in American history, including serving as the site of Robert F. Kennedy's fateful campaign celebration in 1968. Though the grand dame was demolished in 2006 to make way for a school, the Ambassador's regal legacy as the epitome of old Hollywood glamour lives on in the memories of those who experienced its unparalleled elegance.
