Betty's Lobo Lounge held court on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, the kind of 1950s cocktail den where the drinks were strong and the atmosphere never quit. Lounges along the Boulevard defined Miami nightlife in that era, and places like this carried a swagger all their own. Some joints just understood what a good night out was supposed to feel like.
