Boston's Reserves took the field in 1884, part of the Massachusetts State Association during an era when amateur and semi-professional clubs defined the soul of New England baseball. Before the modern game took shape, clubs like this one gave Boston neighborhoods something to rally around every summer afternoon. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
