Pawtucket fielded a Class B club in the New England League back in 1892, a time when minor league baseball knit small industrial cities together. Rhode Island mill towns lived and died with their local nines. Clubs like the Secrets gave working families something to claim as their own when little else belonged to them. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched distressed red serif text reads "PAWTUCKET SECRETS" across the top of a circular emblem with a dotted inner border. Central engraving-style illustration depicts an all-seeing eye within a pyramid above a baseball marked "1892," with "RHODE ISLAND" in small text near the top. Curved bottom text reads "NEW ENGLAND LEAGUE CLASS B BASEBALL."
