Champion Lanes stood along Garden Grove Boulevard as the kind of neighborhood alley where regulars knew each other by name. Opened during the 1960s bowling boom in Garden Grove, California, it carried the simple promise printed on its door: where the nicest people bowl. Some alleys chased competition, but this one built community. Part of our Retro Bowling collection, featuring the defunct alleys of yesteryear.
