Downtown Bowl stood at 375 W. Santa Clara Street in San Jose, a gathering place that anchored the city's core for decades. Opening mid-century, it gave downtown workers and families a place to unwind long before Silicon Valley redefined the region. Some alleys outlast their era because they meant something to the neighborhood around them. Part of our Retro Bowling collection, featuring the defunct alleys of yesteryear.
