Millbrae Bowl opened its doors in the 1960s along El Camino Real, becoming a cornerstone of this San Francisco Peninsula community's social scene. For decades, this family-owned bowling alley served as the neighborhood gathering spot where leagues competed weekly, birthday parties filled the lanes with laughter, and the sound of strikes echoed through Millbrae evenings. The establishment earned its "Magnificent" moniker through consistent service and that unmistakable vintage charm that made every visit feel like stepping back into bowling's golden age. When the final pins fell and the doors closed permanently, Millbrae lost more than just a bowling alley—it lost a piece of its small-town heart. Part of our Retro Bowling collection, featuring the defunct alleys of yesteryear.
The Details:
The design features a circular white logo with a bowling pin silhouette at center, surrounded by elegant white script lettering reading "the Magnificent" and bold yellow block letters spelling "Millbrae BOWL" with the address "1355 EL CAMINO REAL, MILLBRAE, CALIF." in smaller white text below. The typography combines flowing script with chunky sans-serif lettering, creating a classic mid-century bowling alley aesthetic with clean white graphics and bright yellow accent text.
