Fayetteville's Bears took the field in 1935 as part of the Arkansas State League, bringing Class D minor league baseball to the Ozarks. Small town teams like these were the backbone of America's pastime, giving local fans in Fayetteville, Arkansas a reason to gather on summer nights.
