Hartford's Senators took the field in 1878, joining the National League during professional baseball's raw, formative years in Connecticut. Few cities that small dared compete at that level. Hartford proved a club could rise from a modest New England city and stand alongside the game's earliest giants. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.

Bold distressed red serif text reads "SENATORS" beneath, with smaller red text reading "HARTFORD, CT" at the bottom.
