Kelly's Bowl stood at Kam Highway and Puuloa Road in Honolulu, a mid-century gathering spot where military families and locals shared lanes under tropical skies. Rising during the 1950s bowling boom, it carried the rhythm of a neighborhood balanced between base life and island culture. Some alleys were just buildings, but Kelly's was a crossroads. Part of our Retro Bowling collection, featuring the defunct alleys of yesteryear.
The Details:
Olive green hand-lettered script reads "Kelly's" above bold block text reading "BOWL," with a distressed illustration of a low-roofed building flanked by palm trees beside a bowling ball and pin. Spaced uppercase text reads "RHYTHM BOWLING WITH THE AUTOMATICS" and "KAM HIWAY & PUULOA RD." below. Curved script at the bottom reads "Honolulu, Hawaii" in matching olive green with distressed texture throughout.
