Nashville's Vols played Southern Association ball from 1901 through decades of hot Tennessee summers, becoming a cornerstone of minor league culture in the South. Class B baseball meant everything to cities like Nashville before television changed how America watched the game. Some franchises carried an entire town's pride on their shoulders. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
