Our high quality unisex luxury fleece hoodies consist of a premium 8.5oz ring-spun cotton/polyester blend. They are beyond comfortable.

Oakdale was a sawmill town in central Louisiana in 1920, with at least five mills running on the longleaf pine that surrounded it. The Lumberjacks took that trade as their name when they became charter members of the Class D Louisiana State League, lining up alongside the Abbeville Sluggers, Alexandria Tigers, Lafayette Hubs, New Iberia Sugar Boys, and Rayne Rice Birds. Under manager Louis Bremerhof, Oakdale held first place at 37-24 when the league suddenly folded on July 14 of that same year. The Louisiana State League ran for that single season, and Oakdale never hosted minor league baseball again.

Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.

The Details:

Forest green ink on a heathered yellow ground, built around a circular badge featuring an illustration of a bearded, bat-toting lumberjack in a ballcap and apron. The full inscription reads "OAKDALE, LA.," "Lumberjacks," "1920," "CLASS D," and "LOUISIANA STATE LEAGUE," with the team and city names arching around the seal in heavy serif type and a banner cutting across the year. The print carries a noticeably weathered vintage texture.
