Pasadena's Silk Sox took the field in Southern California's Trolley League, established around 1910. Streetcar lines connected small towns and their ballclubs, giving the league its name. Communities like Pasadena finally had a team to call their own during baseball's early golden era. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched distressed white serif text reads "PASADENA" above smaller text reading "SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA." Below, "ESTD" and "1910" flank a large ornate "S" monogram, with "PASADENA" and "CALIFORNIA" on either side. Small stars bracket "TROLLEY LEAGUE" above bold Western-style serif lettering reading "SILK SOX" at the base.
