Marshall's Comets blazed through East Texas from 1947 to 1953 as part of the Lone Star League. Class C minor league ball meant everything to small Southern towns in that postwar era. Marshall showed up, filled the stands, and gave a community something to believe in during those warm Texas summers. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
A white flaming baseball illustration trails comet-style flames at the top, above distressed white cursive script reading "Comets" with an underline swoosh. Bold block text reads "BALL CLUB," "EST. 1947," and "CLASS C MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL" below. A small Texas state outline sits between "MARSHALL" and "TEXAS," with "LONE STAR LEAGUE" at the bottom.
