Milford's Sandpipers joined the Eastern Shore League in 1923, bringing Class D baseball to a small Delaware town that lived for summer nights at the ballpark. Most people have forgotten they existed. Not every team lasts long enough to make the record books, but they mattered to everyone who showed up.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched distressed blue text reads "SANDPIPERS" above a sandpiper bird silhouette perched on a horizontal bat, flanked by "ESTD" and "1923." A banner across the bat reads "CLASS D." Block text reads "BASEBALL," followed by cursive "Eastern Shore League" and "MILFORD, DEL." beneath.
