Magic Valley's Cowboys brought Pioneer League baseball to Twin Falls, Idaho, beginning in 1952 as a Class C club. Small town minor league teams like this were the backbone of baseball's farm system in the postwar years. They gave rural communities a reason to gather under the lights on summer nights.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched golden-yellow serif text reads "MAGIC VALLEY" above large flowing cursive script reading "Cowboys." A distressed golden-yellow illustration of a cowboy pitcher in mid-throw, wearing a cowboy hat and boots with a lasso swirling around him, appears below with small stars scattered nearby. Stacked block text to the right reads "EST. 1952," "PIONEER LEAGUE," and "CLASS C BASEBALL CLUB," with scripted text at the bottom reading "Twin Falls, Idaho."
