Walla Walla's Bears brought minor league baseball to eastern Washington when they joined the Northwest League in 1969. Class A ball in a small agricultural town meant everything to the people who showed up on warm summer nights. Some franchises belong to big cities, but this one belonged to a community that took it personally. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
