Eugene's Larks joined the Far West League in 1951, bringing Class D minor league ball to Oregon's Willamette Valley. Small town clubs like these were the backbone of the sport. Future big leaguers cut their teeth here while entire communities packed the stands on summer nights. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
