Roseburg's Shamrocks competed in the Oregon State League as a Class D club in the late 1800s. Organized baseball planted roots in a small southern Oregon timber town long before most communities had a team to call their own. Minor league clubs like this gave Roseburg something to rally around every summer.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched green text reads "ROSEBURG, OR" above the numbers "19" and "94" flanking a vintage cartoon shamrock mascot holding a baseball bat over its shoulder. Flowing green cursive reads "Shamrocks" with a swoosh underline. Smaller green capitals below read "OREGON STATE LEAGUE" and "CLASS D BASEBALL CLUB."
