Yuma's Sun Sox brought professional baseball to the Arizona desert beginning in 1955, competing in the Class C Arizona Mexico League. Small town minor league clubs like this one were the backbone of baseball's sprawling farm system. They gave border communities a shared identity and summer nights worth remembering. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Distressed white arched text reads "YUMA SUN SOX BASEBALL" across the top of a circular badge, with "ARIZONA MEXICO LEAGUE" along the bottom, separated by small "X" marks. Inside an orange circle at the center, a white sock illustration is engulfed in orange flames, flanked by white text reading "EST 1955," "CLASS C," and "Yuma, Arizona."
