Columbia's Skyscrapers took the field in 1904 as a Class C club in the South Atlantic League. Baseball in the South Carolina capital wasn't just a pastime, it was the social heartbeat of a growing city. Minor league ball gave Columbia something to rally around at the turn of the century. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
