San Leandro's Cherry Pickers took the field in the Central California League beginning in 1911, carrying the name of the orchards that once defined the region. Before suburbs replaced the fruit trees, this East Bay town was agricultural heartland. Teams like the Cherry Pickers gave small farming communities something to rally around on long summer evenings.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
