Santa Barbara's Barbaraeans took the field in 1913 as part of the Southern California League, a brief but proud chapter in minor league history. Coastal California baseball in that era was scrappy, local, and deeply tied to town identity. Some clubs lasted decades, but the Barbaraeans burned bright and brief.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
