Los Angeles Merchants competed in the Southern California League beginning in 1899, decades before the Dodgers brought major league ball west. Clubs like these laid the groundwork for a city that would become synonymous with baseball. Los Angeles was a sports town long before anyone gave it credit.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
